Naga Hammadi Sugar Factory – Sugarcane Waste Composting

Baramouda partnered with Naga Hammadi Sugar Factory (El Hawamidiyya Sugar Company) in Naga Hammadi, Qena Governorate, Egypt, to recycle 160,000 tons of sugarcane residues. Instead of discarding this agricultural waste, Baramouda transformed it into 64,000 tons of compost, which was used to regenerate 12,800 acres of farmland— improving soil health, boosting yields, and supporting sustainable agriculture in Upper Egypt.

El Sharqia Sugar Factory – Beet Waste Management

Baramouda partnered with El Sharqia Sugar Factory to manage and safely dispose of 318,000 tons of sugar beet residues. Traditionally, these residues were dumped into canals or left on roadsides, causing pollution and health hazards. Instead, Baramouda implemented safe disposal practices through official landfills, while also exploring circular agriculture opportunities by testing ways to reuse beet waste in farming applications.
