📍 Armant, Luxor Governorate, Egypt
Baramouda implemented a pioneering project in Armant, Luxor Governorate, Egypt, to manage agricultural residues by working hand-in-hand with smallholder farmers. Through the collection and recycling of 20,000 tons of waste—including banana residues, tomato vines, sugarcane trash, and animal manure—Baramouda transformed what was once discarded or burned into 4,000 tons of organic compost. This compost was then used to regenerate 1,200 feddans of farmland, supporting sustainable agriculture and boosting farmers’ incomes.
